KNOOOP
This creation originated from the idea of tying a knot in a hollow tube, similar to a knot in a ship's rope. The process of conceptualizing, exploring and experimenting with various materials such as metal and plastics took several years, in order to achieve a result that matched the original idea ( and virtual representation ) of the knot as closely as possible. Ultimately, 3D printing technology provided the best possible outcome. The material used, PLA, is a sustainable and ecological alternative to conventional plastics and is also biodegradable. The subtle variations in shape and texture, inherent to this printing technique, ensure that each Knoop piece is slightly different and therefore unique.
